XerumFree™ serum substitute (ACF) for cell culture

XerumFree allows for in-vitro growth of primary cells without the need for any animal or human-derived components. XerumFree is a serum substitute free from any animal/human components (ACF), proven to be suitable for a wide range of cell culture applications. XerumFree is chemically synthesized and fully defined, all components are highly purified and identified chemical compounds. XerumFree is manufactured under high quality and sterile conditions, minimizing lot-to-lot variations.

Culturing cells in a XerumFree enriched medium represents a number of benefits as compared to conventional FBS enriched media.

XerumFree benefits

- No lot-to-lot variations, no need for repetitive testing of new batches like for serum.

- No interference or bias with experimental results, XerumFree is free from unknown serum components, hormones and cytokines.

- Safe for use, XerumFree does not contain animal or human derived materials.

- Ease of use, simply add ready-for-use XerumFree to medium similar to serum. No need for thawing or reconstitution.

- Manufactured under sterile conditions in Europe, in compliance with cGMP.

- No special XerumFree formulations needed for different type of cells.

Instructions for use: simply add XerumFree to your medium as you would FBS (usually 10%). For adaptation of cells to XerumFree, gradually convert the % FBS in your medium to XerumFree, as recommended in the manual.

Examples of cells that have successfully been cultured in XerumFree-medium:

Primary cells VERO cells Liver epithelial cells

CHO cells HaCaT cells HEP G2 cells

Hybridoma cells Human keratinocytes HEK293 cells

HeLa cells, and more
